Well, the return journey has begun. After several hours of late-night, last-minute catching up conversations and only three hours of sleep, Isaac and Dad took me to the airport at 5 this morning. On the way, we reminisced about how much the town and times have changed since I was in high school here...more buildings, parking lots, wider roads. Isaac was pretty quiet in the back seat...I think he was tired! They dropped me off in plenty of time, we said our goodbyes, and I headed to the plane. After sitting on the plane about 30 minutes, the intercom said that there was a mechanical problem and we would be deplaning. They kindly advised us to see a ticket agent to reschedule. Duh. So here I am, still in Eureka in a blanket of fog, waiting to see if I'll make this flight so I can connect in San Fransisco to make it to Dallas...otherwise I may find myself spending another peaceful and refreshing night on the west coast. Not that I'm bummed about that...I'm fine with taking a bath, watching a little TV, talking on the phone to Kevin, and getting some restful sleep before the half-way-around-the-world marathon! I just keep telling myself, "I love to travel, I love to travel, I love to travel."

I hope you made it! or I hope you didn't... I hope you missed the plane and decided never to return to the Middle East. That would be fine with me.
You're so lucky you got to chill in Eureka for longer. Freak. I wish my plane would have got stuck. That was one of the coolest trips home I've had. So relaxing. I seriously can't wait to chill again when you get back. I'm already saving money for my plane ticket to the east coast. I pray for you every day that you make it back safe. I already miss you tons sis.
Hurry up and get home. The DZ just isn't the same without the 35 jump a weekend people such as yourself. See you soon.
