Wow! It's been a month already since the last time I posted...I really wish I was better about that. Anyway, periodic postings are better than none at all...right? The month in review:
1. I ran 10 kilometers in 52 minutes on August 4th.
2. My online algebra class started on August 1st and my online psychology and nutrition classes started on the 27th.
3. I worked on my scrapbook. I completed two pages: one of all the naked baby pictures of me and one with my old Brownie picture.
4. I started riding the stationary bicycle 45 minutes 6 days a week. I've never seen such noticeable improvement in my cardio fitness as I have in the past three weeks. It feels awesome!
5. I learned how to stitch a wound. I gave a British guy 5 stitches in the ER. He cut his forearm picking up pieces of a windshield after a vehicle rollover outside the base.
6. I watched Cinema Paradiso...it made me cry. I LOVE that movie!
7. I went to the Non-Commisioned Officer of the Quarter board and won. By the way, I'm not good at singing the 82nd Airborne Division Song.
Well, now that I try to recap this month, I am realizing that my life is pretty boring right now. Safe, but boring. I don't mind it so much, but I wish I could see my husband!!
The month ahead promises to be just as exciting: cycling, running, sweating, living in a box, walking what seems like miles in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom. Ahhh, this is the life!
More to come as events unfold.....
